Newborn Sessions

Newborns are best photographed during their first 14 days when they are still super sleepy and squishy. They fall into deep sleeps easily and are still able to curl up so we can get those adorable shots of them looking teeny tiny and all brand new.

However, if your bubba is a bit older, don’t worry. I LOVE photographing older babies too! They are just usually a lot more awake and don’t curl up so much. They do however generally get a lot of photos with their eyes open which is just beautiful.

We offer two types of newborn sessions:  Studio and Lifestyle.

STUDIO SESSION

The studio session takes place in my home studio and takes a bit longer than the lifestyle option. This is because it is a more posed session with the focus on getting your baby in those cute squishy poses. The studio will be nice and warm so your bub will be kept comfortable throughout. I will photograph bub with parents and siblings but the focus will be on your baby for the majority of the session.

 $565 – What’s included?
–   Photo shoot, approx 3-4 hours in my natural light studio.
–  Use of all blankets, wraps, baskets etc, styled to fit your taste.
–  Approximately 25 images from your session professionally edited with print release. (Hi-Resolution and web friendly)                                                                                                       –  A digital birth announcement for you to share with all your family and friends.

LIFESTYLE SESSION

Lifestyle shoot collage

The lifestyle session takes place in your home. It’s a more relaxed, ‘fly on the wall’ type approach to capturing your newborn. I aim to capture the interaction and special moments between you and your new bub. I also try to capture some of the other precious memories for you, such as the nursery or special items you have made or been given, so that you can look back and remember with clarity, the moment your home and life changed .

$565  –  What’s included?
– Photo shoot, approx 2.5 hrs in your home.
– Some styled poses can be incorporated if you wish, providing the baby is cooperative!
–  I can provide some wraps and blankets if you have seen something you would like to use.

–  Approximately 40 images of your session, professionally edited with print release (both high resolution and web friendly).

–  A digital video of most of your images for you to enjoy and share with family and friends.

My packages are all inclusive with no hidden fees. There are no sitting fees and you will receive re-touched digital files. Hi resolution. Colour and black & white.
